Back to Blogging

Well, fellow Baby Boomers. You may have noticed if you keep track of things that there is a big gap in time since I posted my last post and this post. I have been busy and let this blog slip.

But no more. From now on, I intend to return to a regular blogging schedule.

I want to continue to tell you how we Baby Boomers can use today’s technology for ourselves. The world has changed and how we do things today is not the same as when we grew up.

I know that many of us want to know how to use these new ideas and inventions. The youth of today do not think the way we think. They do not communicate in the same way we communicated. This blog will explore how this is done today, and how we can use these new ideas without compromising our values.

Some of the major categories I will write about include:

  • Helpful hints. This will include hints on how to use your computer, how to find information on the Internet, and interesting sites for Baby Boomers to visit. This is a continuation of some of the things that I have already written about. You can find some of my older stuff by looking in the archives. Use the link in the menu to find a month-by-month listing of my older posts.
  • Learning while teaching: This is a new section where I will learn how to use some new stuff, such as social media and then I will tell you all about it as I learn. Teaching something is one of the best ways to get to know it well, and this is a tool that is great for me and for my readers together. Isn’t that what it is all about.

There will be many other categories, but to describe them all here in one blog post will bore you to tears and I don’t want to do that. Instead I ask you to explore the site. Click on the links and menus to find out what I have here. One of the newer menu items is my Hire Me item (due to be up in the next week or two). This will take you to a page that explains what I am up to. It explains some other projects that I am working on or planning to do. If you need a writer, you can contact me there.

I assume that many, if not most, of my readers don’t really need a writer. And that’s OK. The site is here for you. But if you or anyone else you do needs any of the services I offer, please contact me through my Hire Me page.

Most importantly, if you have any suggestions for topics to cover here, use my Contact page to let me know. I can always use your suggestions.

You can make sure that you get all of my blog posts, by signing up to get email notices. Just click the email link on the right and enter your email address. You will get a notice in your email inbox whenever a new post is available.

If you prefer, you can sign up for RSS notifications. And of course, follow me on Twitter if you are there. If not, we will get you there.

Thanks for visiting and come back soon. Bring a friend along next time, too.
